    Assignment Prompt & Instructions

I have 6 questions and each requires 200-300 words as well as a reference

    1.  Implementation of Response to Intervention (RTI) or Multitiered Systems of Support (MTSS) can reduce the chances of ELs being inappropriately placed into disability categories. What are some questions that teachers and support teams should ask, or what types of data should they collect, to fully understand why an EL is struggling? (e.g., What is the current instructional program for this student? Is it in English or the native language?) Provide 4-5 additional examples.

    2.  Research and summarize the stages of writing development. How is the writing development process the same for native English speakers and non-native English speakers? How is it different? Share 2-3 instructional strategies to support ELs in various stages of writing development.

    3.  Formative assessment should be included throughout a lesson. What are some formative assessment strategies that teachers can utilize at the beginning, during, and end of a lesson? Provide at least one example of each with a justification of why it is appropriate during that part of the lesson.

    4.  What is corrective feedback and how can it be effective with EL students? Why is student self-reflection important for students and teachers during formative assessment?

    5.  How will you ensure that you adequately support and celebrate the cultural diversity of all students in your class? What connections exist between creating a culturally inclusive classroom and the Christian worldview (i.e., recognizing all people are made in the image of God, celebrating God's diverse creation, inherent dignity and worth of all people)?

If culturally or linguistically diverse students/families were being overlooked, underserved, or mistreated, how could a teacher demonstrate compassion, stand for justice, and promote human flourishing in a way that would demonstrate the Christian faith and Christlike character?

    6.  Based on your readings and observations, provide an example of a technological resource that could facilitate a more culturally inclusive classroom environment. Explain how this could be used in your secondary science classroom

    CRIS 609

    **Research Paper Assignment Instructions**

    Overview

Without your own understanding of the purpose of suffering, crisis responders cannot truly offer emotional and spiritual care in disasters and provide comfort and direction to others in their suffering and pain. Your own understanding of the biblical teaching on the topic of suffering is your “theology” of suffering. Your theology of suffering not only informs how you personally view suffering in God’s economy but will guide how you respond to victims of suffering, offer them encouragement, and seek to meet their immediate physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Your theology of suffering also informs how you would guide a church as it anticipates disasters and seeks to foster resilience in the church’s leadership, who bear primary responsibilities in the crisis response.

    Instructions

This assignment is a research project based on the scholarly literature that includes the following element:

    · Develop your own “theology” of suffering based on a review of at least 10 scholarly sources dealing with the topic of suffering from a biblical worldview

    · In addition, explain how you would consult with a congregation to set up a plan of preparation for pre-incidence disasters describe the important elements of a church’s pre-incident plan based on the class sources as well as outside scholarly sources.

    · As part of the church’s plan, include a strong section on how you would foster resiliency in the pastor and congregation.

    · The paper should be at least 12 pages in length, but length could vary based on completeness of discussion. Minimum length excludes title page, abstract, and reference section.

    · The paper will follow the current version of APA for formatting.

    · At least 10 scholarly sources in addition to class sources should be included. Acceptable sources include pertinent journal articles and scholarly books. Avoid general web sources.

As you prepare your paper, please also review the grading rubric.

Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.

![A person sitting at a desk with a computer and light bulbs above them Description automatically generated](https://www.sweetstudy.com/questions/wk-11-resp-health-20881599)Study without reflection is a waste of time, Reflection without study is dangerous.
    —Confucius (Clark, 2011).

Reflection of an experience, lesson learned, and/or importance of a role, demonstrates a clear understanding of process, comprehension, and expertise. To reflect requires an ability to consider lessons learned, personal connections, and next steps. As we come to the end of the course, it is important for you to consider what you learned and how to connect these lessons beyond this course.

For this Discussion, you will reflect on what you learned throughout this course. What is the impact of what you learned? How might you approach engaging in policy advocacy moving forward?

    · How has this course impacted your knowledge, attitude, beliefs, perceptions about nurse engagement in policy advocacy and politics?

    · What are the takeaways as you move forward as a DNP, in your role as a policy advocate? What resonates with you and how will you use it?

    **respond** to
**at least two** of your colleagues on
**two different days** by supporting or expanding on the ideas identified by your colleague or sharing additional perspectives on the issue described by your colleague.

**How has this course impacted your knowledge, attitude, beliefs, perceptions about nurse engagement in policy advocacy and politics?**

The course began with a very interesting reading, The
_Allegory of the Orchard._ This opened a new way of thinking about how social determinants of health can affect the overall health of the patient and how those without social determinants of health issues do not always strive with their health. During this course I have discussed how health care for the LGBTQ+ community has come a long way but still does not get the recognition they deserve. At the beginning of the course, there was a policy in the House that was being worked on to allow for disciplinary action against those who discriminate against this community. However, after recent events, this policy is no longer progressing through. This is an example of a contextual factor that has hindered the support and success of the current policy. These changes that are taking place in United States has significantly impacted several policies that affect how care is provided to the LGBTQ+ community. Chung, McKenna, & Cooper (2020) state that contextual factors can change the way patients and others view and react differently. Before this course, I had only been involved in politics through nursing in my master’s program. I found it very interesting but didn’t think much about it after the course was completed. However, this course has increased my interest again.

**What are the takeaways as you move forward as a DNP, in your role as a policy advocate? What resonates with you and how will you use it?**

Something that I learned in this course is that there are several ways to advocate policy changes other than just being directly involved in the Senate or Congress. Fantasia (2024) reports that one of the best ways to start is by joining and being active in a professional nursing organization. She suggests finding one that aligns with your particular advocacy goals. I have been a member of the AANC since I started nursing but didn’t realize that I had not joined any nursing organizations that were specific such as one for nurse practitioners. My current plan is to do some research and decide which organization that I would like to join. After that, I plan on becoming not only financially involved but pursuing ways I can help out and advocate for those who are not able to speak for themselves.
