    Updated 1.27.25

Please see the scoring rubric found with the assignment for point values

After reviewing the keynote and studying the readings, you should now be ready to proceed
with your assignment. In this assignment, you will conduct a remote organizational
analysis based on what you have learned from the readings in this unit.

Choose an organization from the list found in the Week One Module.

Please note: Due to the number of students enrolled in the multiple sections of NU 613, we
respectfully ask that you do not make direct contact with the facility. Use the information
available to the public online to complete your assessment.

All assignments are to be submitted electronically within the course. Because the faculty receive
many of the same assignments a file naming format is established for all student submissions. The
file naming standard is as follows:

File naming standard: Student’s Last name, First name, Class Number with section, and
Assignment Name. For example, Doe-Jane-NU613.801-Organizational Analysis Paper

Please submit your paper as a pdf document.

Your paper will automatically be submitted to Turnitin when you submit the assignment. You can
review and revise the paper and resubmit it based on any identified concerns in the Turnitin
report until the due date. Caution: Papers resubmitted after the due date will be treated as late
papers and the late penalty described in the syllabus will apply. Submit the assignment at least 48
to 72 hours before the due date to ensure time to obtain the Turnitin report back. Extensions will
NOT be granted if you wait to the last minute to submit an assignment or do not receive a report
    back in time for revisions.

Early grading: Faculty may be available to grade the paper before the due date if you have
completed your review of the Turnitin report. If your submission is ready for grading prior to the
due date, please place a comment in the assignment area that the submission is final and ready for
    grading.

    Scholarship Expectations:

The assignment will be formatted based on the APA7th edition. There will be a title page and
headings used appropriately. Clarity and conciseness in writing, grammar and spelling will be
consistent with graduate level work. Please use Times New Roman font in a 12 setting.

    ### Haitian Case Study For Discussion

The St. Fleur family is well respected in the Haitian community because they are religious with great moral values. They moved to the United States because of political issues in Haiti. Ronald, the youngest son of this family, is 27 years old and lives at home with his mother and father. Recently, he began having fevers and subsequently developed pneumonia. He was admitted to the hospital, where laboratory tests were HIV positive. Ronald was in shock when the doctor informed him that he was HIV positive. He confessed to the doctor that he was gay but he could not tell his family. He said that he did not want to bring shame to the family. Because he couldn’t be in a formal relationship owing to his family and the Haitian community’s view of homosexuality, he has been very promiscuous over the years.

    1. What are Haitians’ dominant cultural views of homosexuality?
    2. If Ronald’s parents were to learn of his positive HIV status, how might they react if they are religious and traditional?
    3. Identify three specific culturally congruent strategies to address in designing HIV-prevention practices in the Haitian community?

align with your interests and that a bachelor’s degree in psychology qualifies you for the job. If you
do not have a particular job in mind, do not worry, now is the time to begin exploring possible career
paths to see what piques your interest.

In this Discussion, you will identify a job posting of interest to you that can be obtained with a
bachelor’s degree in psychology. You will also view the interactive media, “Interviewing for a
Psychology Job,” which will guide you through how to best present yourself during a job interview.
Then, you will consider how you would apply what you learned to a future job interview.

Go to the Psychology Career Exploration Toolkit. Reflect on which specialty area of psychology
interests you the most and how to pursue a career in that area. Also, consider the career
experiences of the psychology professionals featured in the “Personal Career Stories” tab and how
they used their degrees to achieve their career goals.

Go to the Psychology Career Hub. Use the job search resources to search for a psychology job
posting of interest to you. Think about why the job interests you and its pros in cons. Consider
variables such as salary, geographic location, work hours, etc. Important Note: Be sure that
your job opening requires a bachelor’s degree in psychology; and does not require an advanced
degree, such as a master’s or doctorate (PhD) degree (e.g., avoid discussing a job that requires
an advanced degree, such as a clinical psychologist or a school psychologist). If you are unsure
if the job posting you found is acceptable, please email your Instructor to confirm.

A subset of students who graduate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology go on to graduate
school. If you are interested in pursuing a career as a therapist or counselor, you will need further
education beyond a bachelor’s degree. Fortunately, there are many graduate programs to choose
from and it is important to spend some time determining which ones might be the right fit for you.
Keep in mind that you are not limited to exploring only Walden’s graduate programs; rather, you are
encouraged to explore programs across many different universities. Even this early in your
undergraduate program, exploring graduate study options now can help you make informed
decisions about your academic and career path.

In this Discussion, you will identify a graduate program in a field you are interested in potentially
pursuing (e.g., clinical psychology, counseling psychology, developmental psychology, law school,
business school, social work, etc.). You will also consider the admissions requirements of the
program as well as its pros and cons. Finally, you will view the interactive media, “Interviewing for

employment after graduating rather than pursuing a graduate degree. If you choose this option, you
will complete the initial prompt for Discussion 1 and the response prompt for Discussion 2.

is to give you exposure to the topic.

As you may remember from Week 1, a bachelor’s degree in psychology is versatile and applicable

and marketing, healthcare, criminal justice, education, and many other fields. At this point in your
program, you may have a particular job in mind. If so, it is important to confirm that the job duties

There are two options for this week’s Discussion. Choose Option 1 if you are interested in pursuing
employment after graduating rather than pursuing a graduate degree. If you choose this option, you
will complete the initial prompt for Discussion 1 and the response prompt for Discussion 2.

Choose Option 2 if you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree after graduating from this
program. If you choose this option, you will complete the initial prompt for Discussion 2 and the
    response prompt for Discussion 1.

The reason that you are responding to classmates in a different Discussion from your initial prompt
is to give you exposure to the topic.

As you may remember from Week 1, a bachelor’s degree in psychology is versatile and applicable
to a wide variety of careers. Graduates go on to pursue fulfilling careers in human services, sales
and marketing, healthcare, criminal justice, education, and many other fields. At this point in your
program, you may have a particular job in mind. If so, it is important to confirm that the job duties

align with your interests and that a bachelor’s degree in psychology qualifies you for the job. If you
do not have a particular job in mind, do not worry, now is the time to begin exploring possible career
paths to see what piques your interest.

Go the Additional Resources section in the Psychology Career Hub and review the resources on
preparing for interviews. In addition, read the article, “Kisses of Death in the Graduate School
Application Process.” Consider how the kisses of death categories might also apply to
    interviewing for a psychology job.
With the kisses of death in mind, complete the "Interviewing for a Psychology Job" simulation
found in this Week's Learning Resources. Identify two key takeaways that you learned from the
simulation and think about how you would apply each to an interview for the job posting you
    identified.

Identify the Discussion option you chose in the first line of your initial post.
Paste the URL webpage link for the specific job opening you found so that your Instructor and
    classmates can review it.
Important Note: Be sure that your job opening requires a bachelor’s degree in psychology; and
does not require an advanced degree, such as master’s or doctorate (PhD) degree (e.g., avoid

Explain why the job interests you.
Explain the pros and cons of this job as they relate to your lifestyle. Consider variables such as
salary, geographic location, work hours, etc.
Describe two key takeaways that you learned from participating in the interview simulation
activity. Explain how you would apply each to an interview for the job posting you identified.

Support your initial post with evidence from at least one Learning Resource. You may state your
opinion and/or provide personal examples; however, you must also back up your assertions with
evidence, including in-text citation(s) and reference(s) in APA style.

Resource. You may state your opinion and/or provide personal examples; however, you must also
back up your assertions with evidence, including in-text citation(s) and reference(s) in APA style.

Finally, you will view the interactive media, “Interviewing for
Graduate School,” which will guide you through how to best present yourself during an interview for
graduate school. Then, you will consider how you would apply what you learned to a future
    interview.

Planning and Development website, the Psychology Career Hub, or the Psychology Career
Exploration Toolkit that might be useful to your colleague, given their graduate school interests.

Resource. You may state your opinion and/or provide personal examples; however, you must also
back up your assertions with evidence, including in-text citation(s) and reference(s) in APA style.

Finally, you will view the interactive media, “Interviewing for
Graduate School,” which will guide you through how to best present yourself during an interview for
graduate school. Then, you will consider how you would apply what you learned to a future
    interview.

nventory management and lean operations are a large part of making operations work.

ASC Machine Shop uses 2,500 brackets over the course of a year. These brackets are purchased from their supplier, Best Brackets, located 90 miles away. The following information is known about the brackets:

    – Annual demand: 2,500
    – Holding cost—per bracket, per year: $1.50
    – Order cost, per order: $18.75
    – Lead time: 2 Days
    – Working days per year: 250

**Note:** This is a corporate operation, and there are 250 working days per year.

Download this [Unit 4 IP Template](https://resources.careered.com/LCMSFileSharePreview/Resources/MSExcelWorkbook/MGMT345_IP_Template.xlsx) for **Option 2**.

Using what you have learned, use the template to calculate your answers, and then respond to the following questions:

    1. Given the information, what is the economic order quantity (EOQ)?
    2. Once you have the EOQ determined, provide the average inventory. What is the annual inventory holding cost based on this information?
    3. Knowing the EOQ, how many orders are made each year? What is the annual order cost based off this information?
    4. Now that you know the EOQ, what is the total annual cost of inventory?
    5. What is the time between orders?
    6. Why are the EOQ and ROP important for operations and planning? Provide at least 2 examples.

Once you have completed your table, write a 1–2-page paper that addresses the reasoning for your responses. Be sure to submit your IP Unit 4 template for this assignment as well as the Word document.
