    **## assig1.docx**

**General but important information about Assignments 1 and 2 .  – You will find that both assignments 1 and 2 are somewhat similar. Both of these assignments focus on effective interventions used in school settings. Assignment 1 asks for you to identify and write a short narrative about 3 evidence based practices that promote appropriate behavior in schools. In Assignment 2 we ask you to select 3 interventions and more completely discuss them than you did in Assignment 1 (Yes, you may use the three you selected for Assignment 1). In Assignment 2, while you still asked to provide an enhanced view of three positive interventions, you are also to select 3 interventions that have little or no empirical evidence to support their use but, nevertheless, are still are used.**

**Assignment 2 gives a bigger picture of effective interventions because they also examine those interventions that are effective and those that are ineffective. Further, Assignment 1 is your first writing assignment in the class in which you have to use APA. While both Assignment 1 and 2 are graded, Assignment 2 requires a much more empirical report of the literature surrounding effective interventions and provides a clear idea why some interventions are ineffective. So this report draws a clear and definitive picture of interventions effectiveness.**

**Assignment 2 is also a Critical Task which means that you have to receive a passing score on this assignment in order to receive a grade for the class. If you do not receive a passing score on Assignment 2, then you will have to work with me to remediate the weaknesses identified in your submission.  This often means a delay in receiving a grade for the course. Further, you will already have submitted feedback on Assignment 1 and will have useful feedback on, writing style, the use of APA and efficacy of interventions. So, in writing assignment 2 you will have the advantage of some feedback from a prior assignment.**

**The biggest difference in content between Assignment 1 and 2 is the depth of review or evidence from prior studies. In both assignment you are not to use personal pronouns or opinions but rather you should provide evidence from the professional literature. But, this level of analysis needs to be more extensive in Assignment 2.**

**Assignment # 1  – In this assignment you will examine Response to Intervention (RTI) and Evidence Based Practices (EBP) and examine at least 3 Evidence Based Practices that can be used in RTI settings.   RTI settings allow for a lot of room related to program delivery so you should be able to examine how RTI and EBP are connected in real life classrooms.  You should also examine the role of evidence based practices and the criteria that you used to determine if these interventions were adequately vetted classroom practices. This paper is not to be lengthy – a maximum of 5 pages. The assignment rubric will be used for this assignment but feedback will be in comments about your submission. This paper should reflect the professional literature – not your opinion. As stated previously – no personal pronouns, please.**

    **Educational Philosophy Assignment**

An essential component of a teacher portfolio is your educational philosophy. It is a representation of your professional beliefs and foundations. This assignment requires that you develop or refine your personal educational philosophy and ground it in the philosophies and theories studied this semester. This task has you grappling with the fundamental cultural and ethical questions that have been debated by educators for centuries and relating these questions to the daily demands of teaching.

Make sure to explain your answers and provide examples, quotes, and citations from theory that represent your belief system where needed. Discuss your educational philosophy (theoretical frame) and provide concrete examples of these core beliefs based on your life experiences. Use quotes and citations from theory that represent your belief system. This assignment should be single-spaced; please see the rubric in the Syllabus and Canvas. Please remember to use APA formatting for your cover page, citations and reference list. Each section should be ½ page long.

    Other Ideas/ Suggestions:

    • You may introduce your statement with a quotation or metaphor that encapsulates your philosophy and that can serve to unify your essay if you wish (not required), but you must still use headers for each section.

    • While using an appropriate academic style, write in a way that reflects your own voice and

personality. Personal pronouns are permissible, but avoid colloqialisms and cliches.

    • Seek to inspire the reader. Identify what you believe are the primary purposes of education, and

explain your mission as an educator.

    • Include specific examples from your experience to illustrate and support your ideas.

    • Logically develop your ideas. While being careful to provide specific examples, relate ideas

and examples to the philosophical arguments we have studied this semester.

    • Read the rubric before you write. After you have written your philosophy assignment, use the rubric to score the draft as if you were an evaluator. Remember, this assignment is the culmination of your work this semester!

Please see the next page where you can delete my placeholder text and use the headings as a template for your assignment.

Please look at the highlighted questions and headings below. Does are the six topics.

    **Basic Aims of Education**

(What are the basic aims of education?

    Policy In Politics in Healthcare

    11/05/2025

After reading several chapters of (Mclaughlin, C) and reading articles about Policy Analysis. The policy analysis process is a structed method used to examine public problems, evaluate possible solutions, and recommend the best course of action for decision- makers. It helps ensure that policies are effective, efficient, and equitable. The problem identification is the foundation of policy analysis. It involves clearly defining what the issues are, whom it affects, and why it matters. Analysts gather evidence to understand the scope and causes of the problem. The problem must be solved clearly and specifically. Setting objectives and Criteria when the problem is understood, analysts determine what needs to be achieved to have a successful policy. The objective would be to describe the goals, for example reducing costs, increasing access and improved quality of services. The criteria are the standards used to judge different policy options like effectiveness, efficiency, equity, and political feasibility. To identify policy alternatives analysts will have to brainstorm and outline several possible courses of action to address the problem. These alternatives might include new regulations, financial incentives, educational programs, or partnerships, between public and private sectors (Mclaughlin, C). When it comes to analyzing and comparing the alternatives each policy needs to be carefully evaluated against the established criteria. The analysts will use data, models, and evidence to estimate the likely costs, benefits, and consequences of each of the options. Both quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis are important. One policy may be effective and cost a lot, or it can be fair but politically difficult to get it passed.

Making recommendations after evaluating the alternatives, the analyst will recommend the best policy option, or they may have a variety of options. The recommendation that’s chosen should be supported by evidence along with a clear explanation of why it was chosen over other options. The implementation policy must be put into action once it is adopted. The implementation process includes creating detailed plans, assigning responsibilities, securing funding, and setting timelines. Implementation comes with challenges, so flexibility and communication between policymakers and implementers are essential. The policy evaluation is the outcomes of the policy and is monitored and assessed. To find out the outcomes question are raised like did the policy achieve its goals? Was it efficient? Are there any unintended effects? From the results of the evaluation there may be some policy revisions or new policies that come in the future.

![A close up of a pen on a book Description automatically generated](https://www.sweetstudy.com/questions/journal-20948537)  upon these experiences when circumstances warrant.

Hence, reflection can be a valuable tool. It serves as a tool for not only recalling experiences but also for applying lessons learned from those experiences. Keeping a nursing journal provides these benefits and more.
